Anna Rappaport, FSA, MAAA, is an internationally recognized actuary and futurist, specializing in strengthening retirement systems, particularly to meet the needs of women, individuals with disabilities, and older adults. After 28 years at Mercer, she founded her own firm to concentrate on longevity, workforce aging, and post-retirement risk.
For over 50 years, she has advised employers, employees, actuaries, the financial services industry, policymakers, and nonprofits, translating demographic shifts into practical strategies. She was also a frequent keynote speaker, writer, and media voice on the future of work and retirement.
At 85, Anna continues to be a leader and advocate for retirement security, believing strongly that there is a role for continued leadership throughout life — a new mission for her.

Anna is frequently quoted in the press and has written articles for various publications. Anna has spoken at global actuarial events, including Society of Actuaries meetings, International Congress of Actuaries, and International Association of Actuaries events.
She participated in two National Retirement Summits and testified before various government groups. She served on several government advisory groups, including the ERISA Advisory Council from 2010 to 2012, the GAO Retirement Advisory Panel, and the Technical Panel Supporting the Social Security Advisory Board.
She has served The Conference Board, a business research group, as a researcher on retirement projects, as a project advisor of employee benefits, aging, and work, as a conference speaker, and as a report writer. She has spoken at many other conferences, in person and online.
